WHY: To honor the twelve young authors
from each school (Grades K-8) who have written stories, poems, informative writing, essays, illustrations, class books,
groups writing projects, etc.
RECOGNIZING:
ALL WRITERS! The writing does not have to be a bound book to be included in the faire!
FEATURING Entertainment,
ballons, face painters, a Book Faire, and our student authors in the true spirit of a faire.
REGISTRATION
The amount of $45.00 is charged each registering school. Make checks payable to: SCCRC; Young Authors' Faire.
PURCHASE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
DEADLINE Registration deadline is April 1, 2011. No registrations
will be accepted after 124 schools have registered. Presentation time will be determined by the date of receipts of enrollment.
Registered schools will receive a Young Authors' Faire mailing in April.
Each school is asked to provide a
facilitator plus one additional worker to work in the book room or with logistics on the day of the event. Your school coordinator
and additional workers must be 2010/2011 members of SCCRC. The council appreciates the willingness of so many to assist with
the Faire. If there is an abundance of workers in one job category, you may be asked to help in another area.
PLEASE NOTE: Your school's facilitator must be willing to present your school's authors on the day of the event.
Your school facilitator and addiitonal worker must be 2011/2012 members of SCCRC.
