The Santa Clara County Reading Council is a non-profit organization of teachers, instructors, librarians, professionals, publishers, and parents who have the common goal of promoting reading and literacy for all people.

SCCRC is committed to the continued promotion of literacy for all. We are proud of having been awarded Honor Council from both the California Reading Association and the International Reading Association.

We sponsor events for Children -- the Children's Writing Workshop and Young Author's Faire, Professional Devolpement -- Kick-off Celebration and Asilomar Reading Conference (College Credit Available!), our Community -- Reading under the Stars and Overfelt Gardens Chinese Moon Festival.  For more information about these and other events, please visit our Recent and Upcoming Events page.
